Donald Leka is the architect of the company’s business model and provides the vision and direction for the company’s product development. Donald Leka vision to create TransMedia is a product of his background in media & technology and his executive management experience.
Prior to launching TransMedia, Mr. Leka served as Senior Director of New Media for RxRemedy, a traditional/new media producer and distributor of consumer health-related media content. At RxRemedy, Mr. Leka conceived the business model and developed the business plan and P&L for the streaming media and cable television program, HealthSCOUT iTV propelling it through HeathSCOUT's distribution network of over 3,000 affiliates.
Mr. Leka established strategic partnerships with industry leaders including Apple Computer and Microsoft and throughout the HealthSCOUT Syndicated Network of over 3,000 sites (e.g. Yahoo, USA Today, NBCi, iWon, Juno, AT&T, Prodigy). Previously, Mr. Leka was a co-founder and Executive Director of The Fultz Foundation in Washington, DC where he was instrumental in securing funding from the George Soros Foundation and USAID among others. Mr. Leka developed and directed various international projects focused on business development and management training including telecommunications and the internet.
Mr. Leka holds a Masters in Business Administration as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations, both from The American University in Washington D.C. Mr. Leka is also a composer, arranger, and producer of classical and popular music and enjoys an active lifestyle including athletics and traveling.
Throughout his career, Mr. Leka has been featured in The Washington Post, The New York Times, The Hollywood Reporter, Business 2.0 and on CNN Financial News, CTV and other media outlets.

Vogel is the author of Entertainment Industry Economics: A Guide for Financial Analysis (Sixth edition, 2004) and of the companion volume, Travel Industry Economics: A Guide for Financial Analysis (2001), both published by Cambridge University Press. He was ranked as top entertainment industry analyst for a record ten years by Institutional Investor magazine and was the senior entertainment industry analyst at Merrill Lynch for seventeen years. A chartered financial analyst (C.F.A.), Mr. Vogel served on the New York State Governor's Motion Picture and Television Advisory Board and as an adjunct professor of media economics at Columbia University's Graduate School of Business. He is currently a venture capitalist and fund manager specializing in early stage investments in media and entertainment and aviation and is based in New York.
He is also a corporate director of NearWare Networks and is on the advisory boards of Rightsline, TransMedia, and several other companies.
