Glide OS Changes Default Search from Google to Microsoft Bing; Introduces Privacy Protection Bill of Rights

January 21, New York – Addressing the increasing threat to online privacy from search, social media and cloud computing, TransMedia today changed Glide’s default search engine at http://www.GlideLife.com from Google to Microsoft Bing and introduced the Glide OS Privacy Protection Bill of Rights.

“In recognition of Microsoft’s decision to adhere to privacy standards established by data protection officers of the European Union (the Article 29 committee) and place the privacy of consumers as a priority, TransMedia has determined to change the default search engine in Glide from Google to Microsoft’s Bing,” said TransMedia Chairman and CEO, Donald Leka. “We hope that the other leading search engines will follow Microsoft’s lead.”

TransMedia also announced the adoption of a User Privacy Protection Bill of Rights for the users of the Glide OS. The Glide OS Privacy Protection Bill of Rights is set forth below.

GLIDE OS PRIVACY PROTECTION BILL OF RIGHTS

Preamble: TransMedia, as the owner and operator of the Glide Service, in order to establish a new standard for privacy rights online, provide for a common defense against those who improperly seek private information and ensure the tranquil use of the Glide Service do hereby establish the Glide Bill of Rights for our users:

ARTICLE I

TransMedia will recognize the paramount importance of privacy for all users of the Glide Service.

ARTICLE II

TransMedia will not voluntarily provide any information to third parties regarding our users.

ARTICLE III

TransMedia does not target personalized advertising at users; the Glide Service is free of advertising.

ARTICLE IV

TransMedia will take all reasonable steps to protect the information of our users against those who seek to improperly obtain the information.

ARTICLE V

In the event that any information of a user is compromised, TransMedia will coordinate with and provide assistance to the user to determine the source and to prevent further dissemination of the information.

ARTICLE VI

TransMedia will delete from its system the personal information of any user within seven days of termination of the Glide Service.

TransMedia will remain vigilant in these goals. TransMedia is committed to take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information and privacy of our users, and to provide autonomy from those who would intrude on their lives.
